It started on a roof.
Actually, it started on a beach just north of downtown Chicago in July 2011 when I met a Canadian ska/punk band
traveling east from Alberta and looking for a local gig on their night off.
Fast forward a few hours later, and Feast or Famine was on the rooftop of my apartment building,
playing songs and selling merch to a crowd of friends and friends of friends.
Above the lights of Lake Shore Drive and Belmont Harbor, Band on the Roof was born.
Since hosting that first rooftop show, I’ve had the pleasure of setting up both private performances and ticketed concerts for some of my favorite musicians
in venues as varied as they are — from an acoustic sofa show above a pizzeria to a full-band rager with a view of Wrigley Field.
Let’s keep rocking & rolling.
